Introduction to Kaleidoscope for Sound Analysis of Birds, Amphibians, and More (Beginner)

10 am EST | 3 pm GMT | 15:00 UTC

Learn the basics of working with bird, amphibian, and other acoustic recordings in Kaleidoscope. We'll use our free Kaleidoscope "Lite" software to explore how sound tells a story and how to capture that information through manual and automated analysis. Learn how to manage your files and examine them as sonograms. Upon completion, you'll have the foundation for higher-level classes on cluster analysis, classifiers, SPL analysis, and acoustic index analysis. We'll provide sample recordings for you to play along in class.
