How to Perform a Targeted Search with Kaleidoscope Pro (Advanced)

Learn how to use Kaleidoscope Pro to find a specific sound within even the most acoustically "busy" recording. We'll discuss multiple techniques you can implement to find a particular animal vocalization or sound of interest within your recordings. Discover how to fine-tune search parameters for the best results, and practice using the spectrogram to examine sound files. Learn how to test and use FFT adjustments to separate similar but different sounds. We will discuss strategies for building effective classifiers to isolate one or more target sounds within your recordings over time. We'll also provide a Kaleidoscope Pro trial license and sample recordings for you to play along in class.
